The Pigma Calligraphy 1.0 mm is the narrowest pen in Sakura's Pigma Calligraphy line, with a flat chisel nib that works like a traditional italic pen — turning the angle of your hand against the flat edge shifts the stroke between thick and thin sections automatically, without needing to change pens or pressure. At 1.0 mm, the nib stays small enough for compact lettering: place cards, journal headers, or fine detail work where a wider chisel tip would overwhelm the page.

The ink is Sakura's archival Pigma pigment formula, which uses larger pigment particles that sit on the surface of the paper rather than soaking into the fibers. That keeps the lettering waterproof, fade-resistant, and resistant to bleed-through, so it holds up even if it gets wet or sits in direct light for a long time.
